This cozy cabin epitomizes the private, authentic mountain retreat, in a secluded setting and just a short drive to the Ski Area.

The 4Bar4 Cabin, named after the more popular expression for the road it is on, offers great value for those in search of a more traditional cabin-oriented vacation experience. Located about 1 mile from Pole Creek Golf Course, 9 miles from the center of downtown Winter Park, and 11 miles from the base of the ski area, the cabin has a colorful history. Built by a young forest service employee in 1960 and situated on the first acre of a 640 acre parcel of Forest Service land, the cabin was crafted with the help of some other colorful local figures.

Although, much of the interior of the cabin has been remodeled and updated, the original wood floors help maintain that genuine cabin feel. On entry to the cabin from the exterior porch, one is greeted by a large open-plan living and dining room with plenty of seating and floor space providing multiple options for watching TV, or playing games. Heating is provided by way of thermostatically controlled forced air via the gas stove on the lower level. The charming, fully equipped kitchen, retains the original white pine brought in from Idaho,

Ideal for family gatherings and able to sleep up to 7 people, the cabin comprises a bedroom on the first floor with Captains bunks, with a full-sized bathroom across the hallway. The cabin also offers the convenience of a stack washer & dryer. The master bedroom with king-sized bed, occupies the upper level.

Nowadays, mountain property and the lifestyle that comes with it, is no longer cheap and abundant. That slow lifestyle has become increasingly scarce. But the 4Bar4 Cabin with its sturdy log frame and cozy wood interior really does feel as if you have stepped out of the daily commute to a slower pace. Enjoy a relaxing trip back in time at the end of a long day of skiing, golfing, hiking, or just drinking in the mountain lifestyle. Private transportation is required, as the vicinity is not serviced by the free shuttle system.
