Winter Park Resort Improvements

Tuesday, October 31st, 2006

Winter Park continually strive to be one of the best and most exciting resorts in Colorado. But, that doesn’t mean that there isn’t room for improvement. Every year when we shut down, there’s plenty to do around the mountain.

Here’s a taste of what’s new for the upcoming season:

New Triple Chairlift – The resort’s most exciting improvement includes a new triple chairlift named Eagle Wind, providing access the backside of Parsenn Bowl. Eagle Wind starts at an elevation of 10,316 feet along the Vasquez Cirque egress and extends up to the backside of Parsenn Bowl to 11,486 feet.

New Trails
– This is what all skiers and boarders want to hear, more trails and area to cover. For the 2006/07 season, seven new trails have been cut into the backside of Parsenn Bowl featuring names of historic Northern Arapaho chiefs and areas. Terrain ranges from advanced to expert and bring Winter Park Resort’s total trail count to 143.

New Lunch Space for Kid’s Ski & Ride School – Children taking part in Winter Park’s Ski and Ride School Kids Program will love the new area they have thanks to a Snoasis remodel done over the summer dedicated just to them.

New Advanced Sales Fulfillment Center – Parents have another reason to smile with the Winter Park Ski and Ride School Advanced Sales Fulfillment Center located on the ground level of West Portal Station (formerly known as the Boxcar Deli). Here, parents can fulfill any prearranged lift ticket and lesson seven days a week without standing outside to fill out paperwork or having to climb stairs with armloads of kids and gear!

VACATIONS INC. ADDS NEW WINTER PARK PROPERTIES TO PORTFOLIO FOR UPCOMING SKI SEASON

Winter Park, CO October 24, 2006 – With the Winter Park ski season less than one month away, and the area already blanketed in snow, Vacations Inc. is adding more exclusive accommodations to its portfolio.  This continuation includes some unique town homes, and private homes that have never been managed before.

Brian Lence, Vice President of Sales & Rental Management for Vacations Inc. is excited about the new product offering.  Adding more properties to this program expands the range of choice available with Vacations Inc.  He says, “The more options we are able to provide our guests, the more likely are we to exactly match their needs. The alternatives that we now able to present have grown significantly over the last two years, and we have certainly seen this pay off in terms of increased demand and guest satisfaction. Continuing to provide great value though remains a key consideration and something we have been cognizant of when establishing some great pricing for these new units.”

The three new properties include:  JHawk – a 5-bedroom house featuring an enormous finished basement with entertainment center, ping-pong and foosball tables – great for large families or family gatherings. The 4Bar4 Cabin is a cozy, rustic, log-framed mountain retreat, within close proximity of Winter Park Resort. The Kings Crossing Place Solar Town Home is a quality 3-level townhome with vaulted ceilings, fine furnishings, wireless internet and clubhouse access.
