Winter Park is featuring an impressive summer concert series lineup this year, with everything from free concerts in downtown Winter Park and Fraser to popular annual Jazz and Folk Festivals.
Enjoy free concerts in the town of Fraser with their Picnic in the Park Concert Series from 5:30 to 8:30 pm on Tuesday evenings throughout the month of July. From mid July throughout the month of August, the fun moves over to the town of Winter Park with free bluegrass concerts on Thursday evenings from 6-8 pm.
Dave Koz and friends are bringing their Friends at the Movies Summer 2007 Tour to the Winter Park Jazz Festival this year. Featured artists include Dave Koz, David Benoit, Phil Perry and Kelly Sweet. Visit the official Dave Koz website at http://www.davekoz.com for more information on the tour.

High Country Stampede Rodeo is Back in Winter Park, CO
The High Country Stampede Rodeo kicks off again this year in Winter Park, CO, on Saturday, July 7th. Events include bull riding, barrel racing, calf roping and mutton busting for the kids.
The High Country Stampede Rodeo Series is back in Winter Park, CO for its 24th year. Starting July 7th, rodeo enthusiasts can attend one or all of eight rodeos scheduled every Saturday night throughout July and August. Each event draws an average of 700 visitors who enjoy a variety of rodeo events, including bull riding, barrel racing, calf roping and more. Youth are also encouraged to participate in the Junior Rodeo events. In addition to the various activities, rodeo fans will enjoy the Stampede’s famous barbeque.
The rodeo is held in the John Work Arena, one mile west of the town of Fraser. The Junior Rodeo begins at 4:00 pm, and the Open Rodeo begins at 7 p.m. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $8 for kids and seniors.

Winter Park, CO Salutes Veterans with Annual Rally and Festival
Hear Winter Park and the Fraser Valley come alive as more than 40,000 motorcycles roar to life at the 15th annual Salute to American Veterans Rally and Festival from August 17-19.
The Winter Park area will be honoring those who have served our country with “The Oldest Veterans Motorcycle Ride/Rally in the West.” The event will feature the Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall, a veterans’ poker run, veterans parade, POW/MIA remembrance ceremony, and much more.
The Rally is host to Colorado’s largest procession of motorcycles, with thousands of veterans and patriots from around the country riding in honor of those killed in action, active duty members of the armed forces, US veterans, POW’s, and MIA’s.
The festival will feature the 12th annual High Altitude Tattoo Competition, an outdoor beer garden, live music featuring New Riders of the Purple Sage, and a variety of vendors for guests to check out.

Spring Splash at Winter Park Ski Resort Marks the End of the Ski Season
Embarking on the tradition’s 38th year, Spring Splash is back in Winter Park, CO to mark the end of an amazing ski season. Participants and contestants can join in the fun and games on April 15th, with obstacle course races, live music, and Winter Park Willie’s exhilarating attempt to cross the pond. This year, brave ski and snowboard contestants must pass through an obstacle course on Larry Sale Trail, glide across an icy pond, and cross the finish line to vie for over $4,000 in cash prizes. Registered participants are also eligible to win one of two pairs of Mary Jane Mountain 30th anniversary commemorative skis. If you are interested in registering for this annual spring event, please visit Guest Services in the Balcony House at the base of the mountain between 8:00-10:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. There is a $20 entry fee, $39 fee with lift pass, and $15 employee entry fee. This event is limited to the first 100 registrants.

Head on up to the slopes for some sun and spring skiing during the Winter Park Spring Blast. This three weekend end-of-season party features a new theme each weekend.
March 31st will feature “Party at the Park”, with the finale of the amateur FreeRide Series, live music by local band One Time Experience, and more. April 7th will feature “Family Weekend”, with a free carnival offering face painting, juggling, stilt walkers, and live music. April 14th will feature “Throwback to the 80’s”, where you can break out your old one-piece ski suits and bright apparel. Prizes will be awarded.
During every special weekend you are welcome to hang out on the deck of Derailer Bar and take advantage of their great drink specials and live music, learn bump tips from the Winter Park Ski and Ride School, and check out the end of the season sales and discounts around the base mountain shops.
