The 4 Bar 4 Cabin offers a great value for those in search of a more rustic, cabin-oriented vacation experience.
Named after the popular expression for the road it is on, about 1 mile from Pole Creek Golf Course, 9 miles from the center of downtown Winter Park and 11 miles from the base of the ski area.
Built in 1960 by a forest service employee, much of the 1,120 square foot interior of the cabin has been updated, but still has the original wood floors.
From the exterior porch entry, one is greeted by a large open-plan living and dining room with plenty of seating and space providing multiple options for watching TV, VCR, DVD or playing games. There is a queen sofa sleeper in the living room.
The cabin's heating is provided by thermostatically controlled forced air via the gas stove and is a non smoking cabin rental.
The small kitchenette retains the original white pine brought in from Idaho and does not have a dishwasher.
The first floor bedroom has 1 Queen and twin-size bed; and bathroom across the hallway.
The cabin sleeps up to 6 people and has the added convenience of a stack washer and dryer.
The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and occupies the upper level.
Guests will need their own transportation because of its location is not on the shuttle route.
